The statement that bowel sounds and farts are the precursor of bowel cancer is just wrong. Early stage of bowel cancer may have no obvious symptoms, patients may sometimes have some non-specific manifestations, such as diarrhea, constipation and other changes in bowel habits, with the progress of the disease, it may be further manifested as changes in stool characteristics, such as bloody stool, mucus stool, thinning of fecal matter and other cases, there may be abdominal pain, anemia, emaciation, but these are not the precursors of bowel cancer. The excessive farting can be seen when eating too much gas-producing food such as radish, sweet potato or cold stimulating food; it can also be seen in gastroenteritis, intestinal obstruction and other digestive disorders, which cause intestinal digestive and absorption disorders and increase gas production, leading to excessive farting; and it can also be seen in functional intestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, which is usually caused by tension, anxiety and other emotions. Bowel sounds and farts or intestinal cancer patients are recommended to go to the hospital, under the guidance of the doctor’s treatment.
