Is enteritis contagious?

Enteritis is not contagious. The causes of enteritis usually include: 1) bacterial colitis, which is a disorder of the intestinal flora that occurs in the summer and fall after eating unclean food. 2) enteritis usually develops from autoimmune enteropathy, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. 3) tuberculous colitis, which is usually secondary to pulmonary tuberculosis. In contrast, infectious diseases are usually due to specific pathogens, pathogenic bacteria, parasites, through specific routes of transmission, such as droplet transmission, contact transmission, body fluid transmission, in large epidemic outbreaks in the population. For enteritis, 1. there is no specific pathogen or pathogenic bacteria; 2. there is also no specific pathogenic bacterial transmission route; and 3. enteritis is generally not associated with large epidemics and outbreaks in the population. Therefore, enteritis is not contagious.
