What to do if a child’s incisors protrude

Children with protruding incisors need orthodontic treatment according to the situation, which is divided into early orthodontic treatment and routine orthodontic treatment according to the age.
1. Early orthodontic treatment: children’s protruding incisors may be caused by daily bad oral habits, such as biting, sucking, spitting, etc., which need early orthodontic treatment, using tongue piercing, lip file, psychological guidance, etc., and if it is due to adenoid hypertrophy, adenoidectomy should be performed.
2. Conventional orthodontic treatment: If the incisors are still protruding after the completion of the replacement period, according to the severity of protrusion, fixed orthodontic treatment is needed, using orthodontic appliances and arch wires to retract the anterior teeth or extracting the teeth to reduce the number of ways to correct.
