Can I get a magnetic resonance test if I have dentures that won’t come off?

Having dentures that are not removed, non-metallic dentures do not interfere with MRI, and dentures containing magnetic metals are not recommended for MRI.

1. Non-metallic dentures: full ceramic crowns, resin crowns and other non-metallic crowns do not affect the nuclear magnetic examination, do not need to take off; titanium metal crowns, is non-magnetic metal, do not need to take off the nuclear magnetic.

2. Magnetic metal dentures: including nickel-chromium alloy, cobalt-chromium alloy and other metal crowns, to do nuclear magnetic examination is a powerful magnetic field, the magnetic metal has a certain degree of adsorption prone to danger, and prone to metal artifacts, the clarity of the image near the impact of the dentures with magnetic metal needs to be removed, or else it is not recommended to carry out the nuclear magnetic examination.

Before the MRI, you must explain to the doctor about the fixed dentures and the use of metal in other parts of the body.
