Is high density shadow a tumor?

High-density shadow is likely to be a tumor, which is a descriptive language in imaging. It indicates that the local tissue is relatively dense and may belong to benign lesions or malignant lesions. For tumors, they are divided into benign and malignant tumors according to the nature of the pathology. To confirm the nature of tumor, pathological examination, such as aspiration cytology or biopsy pathology, is necessary. Other imaging examinations, such as enhanced CT scan, may reveal local enhancement, which indicates a higher possibility of malignant tumor, but it needs to be further combined with other tumor markers to see if there is elevated performance, and the final diagnosis depends on pathological examination. If it is an early stage malignant tumor or benign tumor, the effect of surgery is very good. Of course, if it is in the middle or late stage, it is a malignant tumor, and most of them may need to be combined with radiotherapy and other comprehensive treatment.
