In general, estrogenized breasts may disappear after puberty. However, if the patient has a condition such as persistently elevated estrogen levels, it may not disappear.
Estrogenized breasts is a condition that occurs in the male population during puberty due to disorders in the body’s level of sexually stimulated secretion, particularly elevated estrogen levels or an elevated estrogen to androgen ratio, which stimulates the mammary glands resulting in breast enlargement.
Some adolescent males may also experience female manifestations such as reduced body hair and fair skin. Generally, with the gradual increase in androgen levels, the estrogenization condition will slowly subside and the breasts will shrink, which will not affect the patient too much.
However, if the patient has pituitary gland lesions, resulting in a continuous increase in the body’s estrogen level, the estrogenization condition will be further aggravated. In addition, if lesions such as breast fibroids and breast cancer exist in the male population, the breasts will also continue to grow larger, and other symptoms such as breast pain, breast lumps, and enlarged lymph nodes may also occur.
In this case, estrogenized breasts are difficult to disappear, and patients need to seek early medical treatment to confirm the diagnosis of the condition and then targeted treatment.
