How to supplement calcium through diet for breast cancer patients?

We get an abundance of calcium from everyday foods.

  • The preferred calcium supplement foods are milk and dairy products, including milk, yogurt, milk powder, and cheese. Milk and dairy products are rich in calcium and highly absorbed, and contain high quality protein as well as vitamins and other nutrients. On average, liquid milk contains about 100 mg of calcium per 100 ml.
  • Soybean products are also a good source of calcium and high-quality protein, with dried tofu (dried marinated) containing 731 mg of calcium per 100 g and dried spices containing 300 mg of calcium. However, foods such as soy milk, young tofu, and tofu contain relatively little calcium.
  • In addition to this, leafy greens are often overlooked natural calcium supplements. Dark green leafy vegetables such as rape and spinach are also high in calcium, with each 100 grams of dark leafy greens containing between 100 and 200 mg of calcium.

Patients with breast cancer should pay attention to a balanced diet and better nutrition so that they are more tolerant of treatment, have a better quality of life, and recover more smoothly.
