Glycated value can refer to either glycated hemoglobin value or glycated albumin value. The normal range of glycated hemoglobin value is 4%-6%, and the normal range of glycated albumin value is 2.1-2.8 mmol/L. 1. Glycated hemoglobin value refers to the ratio of glycated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin, and the normal value of glycated hemoglobin for a person is 4%-6%. Glycated hemoglobin can reflect the patient’s average blood glucose level in the last 8-12 weeks, complementing with point blood glucose as a monitoring indicator of blood glucose control, and has become the gold standard for judging the control of diabetes mellitus. 2. Glycated albumin value refers to the concentration of glycated albumin in the blood, which is formed by the non-enzymatic glycosylation of glucose with the N-terminus of serum proteins. Glycated albumin has a normal range of 2.1-2.8 mmol/L and reflects glucose control 2-3 weeks prior to blood collection, which is a shorter period of time than glycated hemoglobin. It should be clear that both glycosylated hemoglobin value and glycosylated albumin value have lagging effect and cannot evaluate the recent blood sugar control level, clinically, it should be combined with fasting blood sugar, 2-hour postprandial blood sugar and other indicators to evaluate the patient’s blood sugar level.
