What emphysema fears most about exercise

There is no such thing as what exercise is most feared for emphysema. The exercise methods suitable for emphysema patients are usually abdominal breathing, lip-contraction breathing, chest expansion, and some aerobic exercises such as tai chi and jogging.
1. Abdominal breathing: the patient lies in bed, puts both hands on the abdomen around the umbilicus, presses both hands downward when exhaling, lifts the abdomen upward when inhaling, inhales through the nose, exhales with a whistling motion, and exhales for as long as possible, and practices this several times a day.
2. Lip contraction breathing: patients inhale deeply and contract their lips during exhalation to create a certain resistance to breathing, increase ventilation and alveolar gas exchange, discharge more carbon dioxide, and help exercise the respiratory function of the lungs.
3. Chest Expansion Exercise: patients will straighten their arms, palms down, and lift them forward, keep the palms down, and slowly and forcefully do chest expansion to both sides respectively, and then retract them from both sides to both sides of the body.
4. In addition, patients can also carry out some soothing aerobic physical exercise to improve the lung function of emphysema patients, such as tai chi, jogging, yoga and so on.
Patients with emphysema should take physical exercise and respiratory function exercise without causing obvious fatigue and hypoxemia as the standard. Rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of a doctor are recommended.
