Wound removal time varies according to different parts of the wound, and the combined general removal time is not more than 14 days.
1. Clinically, the general incision removal time in the head and neck is 4 to 5 days, the lower abdomen and perineum removal time is 6 to 7 days, the upper abdomen and chest and back removal time is 7 to 9 days, limbs is 10 to 12 days, and the tension-reducing suture is 14 days.
2. The suture removal time is determined by the healing condition of the wound. The suture removal time is earlier for the parts with better blood supply and later for the parts with less good blood circulation.
3. Wound suture itself is a foreign body, it is not suitable to be kept on the skin for a long time. Removing the suture as soon as possible under the condition of good wound healing will help the skin to repair and avoid leaving obvious scar.
