Can lymphoma blood counts be abnormal?

If suffering from lymphoma, blood routine will be abnormal, as follows: 1. Bone marrow invasion: after bone marrow invasion, because there are a large number of lymphocytes proliferating in the bone marrow, normal hematopoietic function of bone marrow will be inhibited. Therefore, the white blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets in normal blood will be inhibited, which will be manifested as anemia and thrombocytopenia, that is, the counts of red blood cells and platelets in the blood routine will be reduced. Normal hematocrit of women may be above 110g/L. After suffering from lymphoma, anemia will appear, hematocrit will be lower than 100g/L, and platelet count will be lower than 100×10^9/L. 2. Combined infections: patients with lymphoma have low immunity, and it is easy for them to combine with infections at this time. After infection, there will be increase of white blood cells, which is also a common situation of abnormal blood count in lymphoma. Therefore, blood routine abnormalities are seen in two cases of lymphoma, one case is bone marrow involvement; the other case is infection. Bone marrow involvement tends to show up as a triad of abnormalities in blood counts, i.e., white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets are all abnormal, and infection tends to be just an increase in white blood cells. The two types are treated differently; if it is bone marrow involvement, it is treated as lymphoma disease itself. If it is an infection, antibiotics need to be given to fight the infection.
