What causes constant nosebleeds?

The causes of constant nosebleeds are mainly categorized into local factors as well as systemic factors. Local factors include trauma, inflammatory factors, nasal septal diseases, and tumors. Systemic factors include cardiovascular diseases, hematologic diseases, acute febrile infectious diseases, endocrine disorders. 1. Local causes: (1) Trauma: trauma as well as surgery may cause nosebleeds. Violent coughing, nose picking, sneezing may also cause nosebleed. (2) Inflammatory factors: dry rhinitis, atrophic rhinitis, acute rhinitis, diphtheria, nasal fungal disease, and scleroderma of the nose may lead to nosebleeds due to mucosal lesions. (3) Nasal septal diseases: These may include deviated nasal septum, nasal septum perforation, nasal septum ulcer may have symptoms of nosebleed. (4) Tumor: the common ones are hemangioma, fibrous hemangioma, papilloma, lymphoma, adenocarcinoma, squamous carcinoma and so on. 2. Systemic factors: (1) Cardiovascular diseases: hypertension, heart failure, arteriosclerosis, pulmonary edema, mitral stenosis may lead to nosebleed. (2) Hematological diseases: thrombocytopenic purpura, leukemia, aplastic anemia, hemophilia may have symptoms of nosebleed. (3) Acute febrile infectious diseases: influenza, scarlet fever, hemorrhagic fever, infectious hepatitis, measles, can lead to dry nasal mucous membrane bleeding due to high fever. (4) Endocrine disorders: compensatory menstruation, menopause, pregnancy, may lead to blood vessel brittleness due to hormone levels, causing nosebleeds. There are many reasons for the old nosebleed, in addition to the above factors, liver function damage, small blood vessel injury, coagulation disorders can lead to bleeding, and need timely treatment.
