What are the herbs that dispel dampness

Commonly used Chinese herbs to dispel dampness include Cangzhu, Chuanwu and Qiangwu.
Cangzhu is pungent and bitter in flavor, warm in nature, and has the effect of drying dampness. It can treat dampness retention caused by cold and dampness obstruction (cold and dampness evils blocking the middle part of the spleen and stomach), and spleen dysfunction (dysfunction of the spleen’s function of transportation and digestion), and it can also remove the wind, cold and dampness on the surface of the muscles. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear.
Chuanwu has the efficacy of dispelling wind and removing dampness as well as warming the meridians and relieving pain (warming the meridians and stopping pain), which can play a good role in dispelling cold and dampness and is mainly used for treating wind-dampness and cold paralysis, cold pain in the heart and abdomen, pain in the joints, and pain in cold hernia. The raw product of this medicine should be taken internally with caution and is forbidden to be used by pregnant women; it should not be used with Semen xia, Psidium guajava, smallpox pollen, Chuanbeimu, Zhebeimu, Baiyun, Baihe.
Qiangwu has the function of dispelling wind and dampness, relieving the surface and dispersing cold (removing cold from the surface of the muscle), and can be used to treat joint pain and limitation of movement caused by wind-cold-damp paralysis. The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not clear.
