Whether or not you can run with cervical spondylolisthesis should depend on the severity of the patient’s condition. Running is not recommended for patients with more serious symptoms of nerve and spinal cord compression, but you can run to exercise if your condition is mild.
1. Serious condition: If the patient has symptoms of nerve or spinal cord compression or dizziness, running will further stimulate the compressed area and aggravate the symptoms, so this kind of patient should take active treatment, reduce activities and rest in bed.
2. Mild disease: these patients can run to improve their physical fitness, but note that if symptoms worsen or symptoms of neuromedullary compression appear during running, they should stop running immediately.
It is recommended that the patient should be determined according to his/her own situation, and can consult the relevant doctors to assess his/her condition and give pertinent advice.
