When a patient is pregnant with a card, usually around the 12th week of pregnancy, HPV testing is not routinely done at this time. To do HPV test need to do gynecological internal examination, at the same time need to take material in the cervix, if the patient to do this test, there is a possibility of stimulation of local bleeding, or even uterine contraction and miscarriage. Therefore, HPV test is not routinely done in early pregnancy, and HPV test is generally recommended to be done during pre-pregnancy examination. After pregnancy, the patient’s body resistance is relatively low, if the patient has HPV infection before pregnancy, especially type 16 and 18 infection, then the patient will have a high chance of cervical lesions after pregnancy. Moreover, if the patient has abnormal bleeding after pregnancy, there is no way to carry out cervical screening and rule out cervical tumor lesions, so it is mostly recommended that the patient be examined before pregnancy. If a patient has unexplained recurrent vaginal bleeding after pregnancy and cervical pathology is suspected, HPV or other screening for cervical cancer can also be done after communication with the patient, but this carries some risk.
