Thoracoscopic surgery can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of pleural diseases for the following conditions: 1. pleural adhesions caused by abscess thorax or tuberculous pleurisy, through thoracoscopic surgery, the adherent pleura can be loosened to relieve and control the symptoms of chest pain in patients with pleural adhesions; 2. malignant pleural effusion, such as pleural effusion caused by lung cancer pleural metastasis, can be done under thoracoscopy with adhesives such as talc or doxycycline to loosen pleural adhesions or fix the pleura for the purpose of relieving and controlling malignant pleural effusion.
