Cuscuta chinensis is a vine or a seed

Cuscuta is the mature seed of Cuscuta sinensis, family Cyclophyllaceae.
Cuscuta is warm in nature, sweet in flavor and belongs to the liver, kidney and spleen meridians. Cuscuta has the effects of nourishing the liver and improving eyesight as well as tonifying the kidney and fixing essence, nourishing the liver and improving eyesight, stopping diarrhea, and tranquilizing the fetus. Patients with symptoms such as insufficiency of the liver and kidney, lumbar and knee pain, impotence and spermatorrhea, dysuria, dyspareunia, restlessness of the fetus, and fetal leakage due to deficiency of the kidney (a small amount of vaginal bleeding in the early stage of pregnancy) can use this product.
The adverse effects of Cuscuta are not known. It should not be taken by people with yin deficiency and fire, dryness and knotting of stools, or short and reddish urine (small amount of urine with dark yellow color).
