PS score (physical status score) is needed before chemotherapy for lung cancer. Before chemotherapy for lung cancer, first of all, it is necessary to clarify whether chemotherapy is suitable for the patient. Generally, the PS score is less than 2, there is no obvious liver and kidney dysfunction, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy generally needs 4 cycles, and chemotherapy for non-surgical patients needs to be maintained for a long period of time according to the patient’s condition. Therefore, in order to prevent chemotherapeutic drugs from stimulating damage to peripheral blood vessels or the risk of chemotherapeutic drug leakage, deep vein puncture placement PS scoring is required before chemotherapy. PS score is the assessment of physical strength, and the scoring coefficients are 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4, which are divided into 5 grades. Chemotherapy can only be given to grade 0 and 1 patients with normal liver and renal functions and no abnormalities in blood routine. Early stage lung cancer patients need surgery plus adjuvant chemotherapy, and middle and late stage patients can only do chemotherapy, or targeted therapy or immunotherapy. For the treatment of lung cancer patients, it is necessary to make a comprehensive judgment based on the patient’s specific situation, pathological type and clinical stage, and formulate an individualized treatment plan under the guidance of doctors.
