Acipimox Effects and Side Effects

Acipimox has the ability to inhibit the release of free fatty acids from adipose tissue, which in turn lowers blood levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol. Side effects such as epigastric pain, headache, fatigue and rubella may occur after use. 1. Efficacy: Acipimox inhibits the release of free fatty acids from adipose tissue and reduces the concentration of very low density and low density lipoproteins in the blood, thus lowering the levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol, thus treating diseases such as hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia. 2. Side effects: Due to the toxicological effects of the drug and individual differences, adverse reactions such as hot flashes and itching may occur after use, and most of them may disappear within the first few days after treatment. If adverse symptoms such as heartburn, epigastric pain, headache and fatigue occur, treatment should be terminated. Patients with adverse reactions such as rubella, eyelid and lip edema, rash, asthma-like dyspnea, and hypotension need to be treated promptly. It is used with caution in pregnant and lactating women, and is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the product, peptic ulcers, and severe renal impairment. Patients who want to use Acipimox are advised to go to a regular hospital, consult a professional doctor, cooperate with the doctor to complete the relevant examinations, and avoid blind use of drugs.
