What’s wrong with your stomach?

Stomach discomfort, nausea and vomiting are caused by gastritis, gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, intestinal obstruction and other factors. Gastritis is mainly caused by congestion and edema of the gastric mucosa, and the food will rub against the gastric mucosa when the patient eats and drinks, thus causing discomfort in the stomach. Moreover, gastritis also affects the digestion of food in the stomach, so some people will be accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Gastric ulcers indicate that the patient’s gastric mucosa already has an ulcerated surface, gastric ulcers will cause pain in the stomach soon after eating food because of the stimulation of the ulcer caused by gastric acid. It can also cause nausea and vomiting during spasmodic contractions of the stomach lining. The gallbladder and pancreas are the digestive glands of the body, which mainly store bile and secrete pancreatic fluid to aid in the digestion of food. Inflammation of the gallbladder and pancreas can also cause pain due to irritation of the surrounding organs. Nausea and vomiting can also occur because food digestion is affected. Intestinal obstruction occurs when there is a blockage in the intestines so that the contents of the intestines are not able to pass through smoothly. The increased pressure in the intestinal lumen leads to distension, bowel sounds, nausea and vomiting.
