Xiao Yan Cai, Rheumatology and Immunology, Guangzhou First People’s Hospital: Lupus erythematosus has a genetic susceptibility, which is regulated by many unknown genes. However, the true onset of lupus is influenced by many factors; therefore, most of the next generation is normal, only that the incidence of getting such diseases as lupus is higher than that of the normal population. There is no significant difference in the chance of inheritance between male and female patients, and the immediate family members of lupus patients are about 5-8 times more likely to get the disease than the normal population. Lupus erythematosus cannot be prevented in advance. Patient: Description of the condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): I got the disease in March 2009, the symptoms are mild, now it has been a year since I got the disease, under the guidance of the doctor to reduce the hormone to one, the routine examination are stable 1 year history of the disease, this year 24, college students, male, college graduation is immediately facing marriage and children, however, this disease is after all a disease with genetic predisposition, I worry whether it will be transmitted to the next generation. I’m worried whether the disease will be passed on to the next generation, what tests are available to check whether the child is healthy before it is born, or whether SLE can be prevented in advance after the child is born. I would like to ask Dr. Cai if this disease is more likely to be passed on to a man or a woman, and how much each? Thank you!
