During the postoperative recovery period of acoustic neuroma, it is necessary to pay attention to the existence of complications, reasonable diet and rest, rehabilitation therapy, and regular checkups and follow-ups.
1. Pay attention to whether there are complications
(1) Complicated nerve injury: symptoms of paralysis or injury to the facial nerve or auditory nerve, such as facial sensory impairment, facial paralysis, hearing loss, etc., may occur, and it is necessary to inform the doctor in time.
(2) Poor healing of incision: There may be clear, pus-thick or bloody fluid coming out of the nasal cavity, external ear canal, surgical incision, etc., localized swelling and pain, or headache, in which case you need to inform your doctor.
2. Reasonable diet and work and rest
(1) Diet: Fasting is required for a short period of time after the operation. After eliminating complications such as secondary intracranial hemorrhage, easy-to-digest fluids or semi-fluids can be eaten; the diet should be light, paying attention to the balanced intake of vegetables, proteins and other nutrients, and avoiding spicy and stimulating foods and drinking alcohol.
(2) Lifestyle and work routine: Avoid staying up late, strenuous exercise, blowing your nose or holding your breath, and avoid smoking.
During the recovery period after surgery, you should have regular checkups and follow up if you are not feeling well.
