Lymphoma of the parotid gland is a tumor of the epithelium of the lymphatic ducts of the parotid gland, that is, an abnormal proliferation of the epithelium of the lymphatic ducts, which grows to form a local mass. In general, parotid lymphoma is a benign tumor that is often associated with local radiation exposure, immune disorders, and physical or chemical stimuli. Parotid lymphoma is generally benign, but a very small number of lymphatic epithelium can become malignant and turn into parotid lymphoma, which is malignant. The treatment for parotid lymphoma is usually surgical excision, and if it is malignant, it can be treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy after surgery. Therefore, generally speaking, parotid lymphoma is not cancer, but only malignant lymphoma of the parotid gland can be called cancer.
