How to get rid of toddler heat rash

Toddler heat rash, also known as prickly heat, is usually related to overheating of the environment and prolonged bed rest of toddlers, and can be treated by general treatment, topical medication and oral medication.
1. General treatment: If the symptoms of heat rash in toddlers are not particularly serious and the area is relatively small, general treatment can be used, such as using fans or air conditioners to cool down the environment, and toddlers try to wear loose and breathable cotton clothes. If the skin is red and hot, you can use a towel wrapped in an ice pack to apply ice to the skin.
2. Topical medications: If your toddler’s heat rash is severe or large in size, you can use medications such as glycerin lotion and hydrocortisone cream according to your doctor’s instructions.
3. Oral medication: If the itching is severe, antihistamines can be used according to the doctor’s instructions to stop the itching, such as cetirizine tablets, levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets and other drugs.
