Usage and precautions of eye medicine

The common way to administer medication for eye diseases is topical medication, i.e. eye drops or eye ointment. When ordering eye drops or ointment, pay attention to the following matters: 1, before using the medicine: be sure to wash your hands, be sure to carefully read the label on the bottle of drops, if there is secretion in the eye, you need to use a clean cotton swab to dip the secretion before using the medicine. 2.When using the medicine: gently pick the lower eyelid of the affected eye with one finger, hold the eye drops in the other hand and put the drops into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye (or squeeze the eye ointment into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye), do not let the mouth of the eye drops touch the eye or eyelid, and do not drop onto the cornea (i.e., the black eye). 3, after using the medicine: after dropping the eye drops, gently pull up the upper eyelid and then slowly put down, while releasing the lower eyelid; in addition, the patient gently turn the eye after closing the eye, so that the eye medicine is evenly coated on the surface of the eye; at least 10 minutes of eye closure. Tighten the cap after use; do not put it in an environment where the temperature is too high.
