A little pain when yawning with redness inside the ear may be related to acute diffuse otitis externa and external auditory canal boils, which need to be selected according to the cause of the disease and the degree of the disease, such as general treatment and drug treatment. This feature is often due to the attack of infectious inflammatory lesions in the external auditory canal, which causes congestion and swelling of the external auditory canal, and jaw activity pulls the sensory nerves in the ear and induces earache symptoms.
1. Acute diffuse otitis externa: often caused by bacterial infection after water ingress into the external auditory canal, trauma and decreased resistance. Antibiotics such as amoxicillin can be applied systemically to control the infection. When the external auditory canal is red and swollen, a tampon soaked with 10% ichthyol glycerin can be applied locally. Levofloxacin hydrochloride ear drops can be applied to the ear for anti-infection treatment.
2. External auditory canal boil: it is acute limited otitis externa, which can be caused by the above mentioned reasons or secondary infection due to blockage of the follicular gland ducts of the skin of the external auditory canal. When the boil is immature, use a fine tampon dipped in 10% ichthyol glycerin to put it on the boil, and change it 1~2 times a day, which can promote the absorption of inflammation, and can be added with local hot compresses, infrared irradiation, helium-neon laser irradiation to promote the limitation of inflammation or maturation of the boil.
