An overdose of croton can be treated by inducing vomiting, washing the stomach, taking egg white, giving magnesium sulfate, and administering oxygen.
In the early stage of poisoning, the pharynx can be stimulated or injected with apomorphine to induce vomiting, the stomach can be washed with lukewarm water, and a large amount of egg white, soymilk, milk, rice soup and batter can be taken to protect the gastric mucosa. Those who do not have diarrhea symptoms can be given magnesium sulfate to induce diarrhea. Abdominal pain, diarrhea is serious, can be given belladonna alkali, aluminum hydroxide coagulant and so on. Those with respiratory distress or cyanosis can be given oxygen inhalation and glucocorticoids.
There is no specific antidote for croton poisoning, severe cases may have nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea symptoms, at present the main rehydration, correct electrolyte disorders, prevent shock, improve cardiac and renal function, as the main means of treatment.
