Measures to prevent cough with weight loss

Cough with weight loss is usually one of the symptoms of tuberculosis, a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis that can affect many organs, with tuberculosis infection of the lungs being the most common. The most common form of tuberculosis infection is in the lungs. People who excrete the bacilli are an important source of infection. Infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis does not necessarily cause morbidity, but may cause clinical morbidity when resistance is reduced or cell-mediated metaplasia is increased. If timely diagnosis is made and reasonable treatment is given, most of the cases can be clinically cured. Therefore, prevention is the main concern, so how to prevent tuberculosis in daily life? 1.Living a regular life Avoid long-term overwork and mental tension, eat a balanced diet, exercise appropriately, and strengthen resistance. 2, prevention of tuberculosis-related diseases, such as diabetes, can increase the chance of tuberculosis four times. Another example is AIDS, which can increase the chance of tuberculosis 30 times. Other diseases such as silicosis, gastrointestinal diseases, tumors, organ transplants, long-term use of glucocorticoids, etc. 3.Preventive treatment for high-risk groups The focus is on infected children in the families of newly discovered patients with disseminated TB, especially children under 5 years old and members with tuberculin test reactions ≥15mm or blisters. 4. Prevent the spread of tuberculosis bacilli (1) Reduce the spread of tuberculosis bacilli, strengthen health education so that everyone understands the hazards of tuberculosis and the mode of transmission (because it is respiratory transmission), and develop the hygienic habit of everyone not spitting; sputum from tuberculosis patients should be disinfected by burning or medication; patients should cover their mouths with handkerchiefs or wear masks when coughing or sneezing, and not speak loudly in close proximity to others; patients’ used Patients should be disinfected and cleaned frequently. (2) Reduce the concentration of tuberculosis bacteria in the environment. Tuberculosis bacteria are easily spread in poorly ventilated and more confined environments (such as winter dormitories, crowded group dormitories or work sheds). Therefore, it is necessary to develop the habit of opening windows regularly and letting daylight into the room as much as possible. (3) Pay attention to isolation and reduce contact with the source of infection. Isolation of patients with bacteriophage tuberculosis should be done so that they do not go to crowded places where people have frequent contact with each other or work. Patients in the family members, in addition to active treatment and frequent ventilation, it is best to live in a separate room, and those who do not have conditions should also sleep in separate beds. 5. Vaccination of children with BCG vaccine The BCG vaccination can make children develop a certain level of specific resistance, reduce the chance of infection, or limit the growth and reproduction of bacteria when infected with natural tuberculosis bacteria, reduce the number of bacteria, and play a role in the prevention of childhood tuberculosis, especially tuberculous meningitis and blood-borne severe tuberculosis. The target of inoculation is newborns.
