How to recover from supraventricular tachycardia surgery

Supraventricular tachycardia should be kept in bed for a short period of time after surgery, and closely monitored after discharge from the hospital to prevent recurrence.
Patients are recommended to stay in bed after surgery, and sandbags can be used to compress the venous puncture for 6 hours and the arterial puncture for 8~12 hours. Minimize the activities of the affected limbs and closely observe whether bleeding occurs or not, and normal activities can be resumed one week after the operation. During the period of bed rest, it is recommended that the diet should be based on easily digestible food.
Early attention should be paid to the observation of the patient’s heart rate and rhythm, and electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound and X-ray chest X-ray are feasible when it is not appropriate. If the tachycardia is felt to recur but does not actually occur, no special treatment is needed.
Recurrence after discharge from the hospital should be recorded on the ECG when possible, and prompt medical attention should be sought to determine the next course of treatment. Postoperative aspirin is usually required for 1-3 months if operated transarterially, consult your medical professional for advice.
