What are the items to be tested for blood donation

China’s blood donation law stipulates that blood donors must undergo appropriate examinations before donating blood, which include physical examination and laboratory tests. The physical examination includes the donor’s weight and blood pressure. If an adult male weighs less than 50kg and an adult female weighs less than 45kg, the donor cannot donate blood in this case, and a donor with high blood pressure cannot donate blood. Laboratory tests include routine blood tests, blood type, including ABO and RH blood types, as well as serological tests for liver function, hepatitis B and C antibodies, syphilis antibodies, and HIV antibodies. If a person’s liver function is not normal, or if he/she is positive for hepatitis B surface antigen, positive for hepatitis C antibodies, positive for syphilis antibodies, positive for AIDS antibodies, the blood is not qualified and he/she cannot donate blood.
