Gastritis enteroplasia (++) refers to intestinal epithelial hyperplasia, which is the replacement of gastric mucosa by intestinal epithelium, and is an intermediate process from chronic gastritis atrophy to gastric adenocarcinoma. Intestinal epithelialization is a precancerous lesion, but it does not mean that it will necessarily become cancerous, and it is an intermediate state between chronic gastritis to heterogeneous hyperplasia and then to gastric adenocarcinoma. Two +’s is a moderate degree of intestinalization and requires attention and early intervention. If intestinalization (++) is confined to the gastric antrum, it usually has little effect. If it involves a wider range of areas, such as the antrum, lesser curvature, greater curvature, and even the anterior and posterior walls of the stomach, it needs to be closely followed up.
