The common causes of urine dripping are prostatic hyperplasia or urethral stones. Prostatic hyperplasia can cause the urethra to be deformed by pressure and the resistance of the urethra to be raised, which increases the resistance to urination and prevents urination from forming a line, resulting in dripping or bifurcation of urine at the beginning or after urination. It is advisable to perform a urinary ultrasound examination to find out if there is prostatic hyperplasia. If the diagnosis is confirmed, oral treatment with tamsulosin extended-release capsules or finasteride tablets can be chosen. If the oral medication is not effective, or if the symptoms do not improve significantly, it is recommended to perform electrodesurgical treatment for prostate enlargement. If the urinary tract stones cause dyspareunia and dripping-like urine, it is recommended to perform a CT examination of the urinary tract to clarify the presence of stones. If there are urethral stones, it is recommended that surgery be performed to break up the stones or remove them to relieve urinary tract obstruction and restore urinary tract patency, so that dripping urine can be cured.
