In the United States, more than 80% of lumbar disc herniations are solved by spinal endoscopy, with foraminoscopic lumbar disc nucleus pulposus removal being the most widely used. In recent years, foraminoscopic lumbar disc nucleus pulposus removal has been rapidly promoted in China, and its many advantages, such as safety, minimal trauma, immediate results, and quick recovery, are widely accepted by doctors and patients, and complications caused by traditional surgery are no longer a problem. At present, foraminoscopic nucleus pulposus removal has been developed in China, and a minimally invasive surgery can be completed in one to two hours, and patients can get out of bed and walk the next day. It is expected that foraminoscopic nucleus pulposus removal will become a routine procedure in China.
