Is it serious to be 300 to 400+ degrees nearsighted in the sixth grade?

Sixth grade children with 300 to 400 degrees of myopia are considered moderately nearsighted, which is not very serious, but requires attention, or it can lead to progression of myopia to high myopia.
Patients can determine the degree of myopia through an optometry examination. 300 degrees of myopia is usually classified as mild myopia, 300 to 600 degrees of myopia is moderate myopia, and 600 degrees of myopia or more is high myopia. 300 degrees to 400 degrees of myopia is moderate myopia, which is not very serious.
Myopia is a common eye disease in children and adolescents, usually caused by a combination of genetic factors and poor eye habits. Children with myopia need to develop good eye habits, minimize the use of cell phones, computers and other electronic products, and do more outdoor sports to control the growth of myopia. If children continue to use their eyes with fatigue, myopia may progress and develop into high myopia.
It is recommended that children with myopia should consult a doctor in a timely manner to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
