Does Cordyceps really have medicinal value?

Cordyceps sinensis is a Chinese medicine with medicinal value that can tonify the lungs, benefit the kidneys, relieve cough and resolve phlegm. However, the efficacy of Cordyceps alone is limited. Cordyceps is the complex of the fungus Cordyceps sinensis mycelium of the genus Cordyceps in the family of Ergotaceae and its hosts such as the larval body of bat moths of the family of Bat Moths and other larvae, with a sweet taste and a warm nature; it is attributed to the kidney and the lung meridian. Cordyceps has the effect of tonifying the kidney and benefiting the lung, stopping bleeding and resolving phlegm. It can be used to treat kidney deficiency and essence loss, impotence, spermatorrhea, lumbar and knee pain, prolonged cough, asthma, coughing and hemoptysis. Cordyceps should not be used by those who have superficial evil (evil at the muscle surface). It is recommended that patients be treated with medication under the guidance of a doctor, do not take medication on your own to avoid delaying or aggravating the condition.
