Intestinal tubular adenoma benign or malignant

Intestinal tubular adenomas are benign lesions. Intestinal tubular adenomas are one of the pathological types of intestinal adenomas, which are benign lesions but carry some risk of becoming cancerous, with tubular adenomas having the lowest risk of becoming cancerous compared to choriocarpal adenomas and tubular-choriocarpal mixed adenomas. However, regardless of the type of adenoma, timely endoscopic resection is recommended to avoid cancer. The cause of intestinal tubular adenoma is unknown, and it is related to heredity, long-term heavy drinking, chronic inflammation of intestines, etc. Most of the patients may have no obvious symptoms, but may show symptoms such as irregular stool, diarrhea and constipation alternately, and blood in stool, etc. After endoscopic resection treatment, the patients are also required to undergo colonoscopy for regular review. Although intestinal tubular adenomas are benign lesions, there is a certain risk of cancer, so timely treatment and regular follow-up are recommended.
