Heel tendon pain may be caused by Achilles tendonitis, bursitis or heel bone spurs. 1. Achilles tendonitis: usually due to often do some strenuous sports, such as playing soccer, badminton and other bouncing strenuous sports, resulting in repeated friction between the Achilles tendon, stimulation and so on, resulting in oedema around the Achilles tendon, caused by the heel area of the tendon pain. 2. Bursitis: mainly due to the repeated pulling and squeezing of the Achilles tendon, it will stimulate the bursa of the Achilles tendon to show obvious bursal edema, hyperplasia and pain, resulting in heel pain. 3. Heel bone spurs: when people in middle age may appear osteophytes, thus forming heel bone spurs, heel bone spurs will stimulate the surrounding soft tissue congestion and edema to form aseptic inflammation, thus causing local pain.
