What are the signs of swollen eyes and swollen face?



There is no such thing as “swollen eyes and face are a sign of a disease”. Swollen eyes and face may indicate nephrotic syndrome, atopic dermatitis, cirrhosis of the liver and other diseases.

1. 3. Cirrhosis: When you have cirrhosis of the liver, the function of the liver will change, which may lead to a decrease in the synthesis of plasma albumin, water retention in the body, resulting in the appearance of swollen eyes and face. Therefore, swollen eyes and swollen face suggest the possibility of cirrhosis.
