There are many reasons for not having your aunt (period), such as pregnancy, primary amenorrhea, endocrine disorders, and menopause.
1. Pregnancy: If you have had sex during the period, delayed menstruation may be due to pregnancy. You can go to the hospital for blood test of human chorionic gonadotropin HCG to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.
2. Primary amenorrhea: If a woman is over 16 years old and has not had her period, she needs to go to the hospital for examination to confirm whether it is primary amenorrhea caused by atresia of the hymen, vaginal atresia, congenital absence of uterus, or naïve uterus, and so on.
3. Endocrine disorders: For example, postpartum hemorrhage leading to Schihan’s syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperprolactinemia, pituitary tumor, diabetes mellitus, thyroid dysfunction, severe dieting, excessive exercise, etc. may cause endocrine disorders, resulting in lack of menstruation.
4. Menopause: After the age of 45, women may reach the age of menopause, normal menopause does not need to be treated; before the age of 40, early menopause may be caused by premature ovarian failure.
If you have delayed menstruation, please go to the hospital in time to get a clear diagnosis, and then take active treatment after the diagnosis is confirmed. Do not use drugs indiscriminately to avoid adverse consequences.
