Sniffling and blinking is not necessarily Tourette’s syndrome, but may be caused by dry air and allergic rhinitis for physiological reasons.
If the sniffling and blinking is frequent, manifested as involuntary, stereotyped twitching with twitching of other parts of the body, making strange noises, etc., and is more likely to occur when mentally stimulated, it may be Tourette’s syndrome.
If it occurs occasionally, it may also be due to physiological factors, such as dry air, eye fatigue, and excessive dust and lint in the air. Also if you suffer from allergic rhinitis, upper respiratory tract infections with a lot of nasal discharge, you may also experience sniffling.
Tourette’s syndrome should be seen promptly and examined in a proper hospital.
