The vast majority of bone deterioration is reversible. The term “bone deterioration” is just a common name for this type of disease of the bone and is not a standard term, which may include osteoporosis, osteophytes and wear and tear of the bone. The vast majority of osteoporosis can be seen in the elderly, only to a lesser or greater degree, and can be treated with general anti-osteoporosis medications, which have a better prognosis for the majority of these diseases. For the presence of osteophytes, the milder cases can take the conventional conservative treatment, that is, the use of some anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving drugs, and with local acupuncture, massage and other physical therapy; and for the more serious cases, you can do surgery to remove the hyperplasia of the bone. For mild cases of bone wear and tear, they can be treated by reducing the use of joints and using some anti-inflammatory, swelling, pain relief and joint cartilage nutrient medications; while for more severe cases, surgery such as osteotomy or joint replacement is needed. On the whole, the treatment and prognosis of this kind of bone disease is still relatively good, and the recovery is also relatively good.
