The standard treatment is to go to a hospital ophthalmologist to have the cyst surgically incised to drain the pus and clean the inside of the cyst to destroy the membrane. The formation of wheals is related to bad habits such as fire, prolonged late night and heavy drinking, etc. Bad habits should be corrected to avoid the recurrence of wheals. If the cyst grows in the bulbar conjunctiva, it is considered to be a subconjunctival cyst, which is mainly formed when the bulbar conjunctiva has been traumatized before and the epithelial cells enter the subconjunctiva and are wrapped by the fascia. The subconjunctival cyst will cause obvious symptoms of foreign body sensation and tearing in the eye and needs to be removed surgically.
