Causes of brown discharge in early pregnancy

Brown discharge in early pregnancy may be a normal phenomenon at the time of implantation, or it can not be ruled out as a pathological phenomenon such as pre-miscarriage, cervical redundancy and so on. 1. Normal phenomenon: some pregnant women may have a small amount of brown discharge in early pregnancy when the fertilized egg is implanted. 2. Pathological phenomena: (1) Pre-eclampsia: brown discharge may appear during pre-eclampsia, and some pregnant women may have lower abdominal pain; (2) cervical redundancy: brown discharge may appear if there are cervical polyps, condyloma acuminatum, and so on; (3) Ectopic pregnancy: abnormal vaginal bleeding may occur in ectopic pregnancy with no gestational sac seen in the uterus; (4) Grape fetus: abnormal vaginal bleeding and abnormal elevation of chorionic gonadotropin may occur in grape fetus. Brown discharge in early pregnancy may also be due to other reasons, especially when accompanied by lower abdominal pain and severe early pregnancy reaction, should go to the hospital in time to find out the cause and give observation or treatment for the cause.
