The presence of epithelial cells (++++) in the leukorrhea is normal. This is caused by the metabolism of the vaginal epithelium and cervical epithelium and their natural shedding. Normal leukorrhea contains a small number of leukocytes, and 3-5 leukocytes appear under high magnification. If there is a significant increase in leukocytes, it is considered to be caused by inflammation and can be treated with diazoxide suppositories and vaginal douching with cleansing. The presence of mycobacteria or trichomonas in the leukocyte examination is an abnormality, which needs to be treated according to the specific situation, such as using clotrimazole suppositories or fluconazole, methotrexate and other drugs. It is best not to use alkaline lotion to wash the vagina, as this may cause dysbiosis in the vagina.
