Redness of the vulva in children may be caused by poor hygiene, infantile vulvovaginitis, urethritis, etc. It can be treated by general therapy and medication (e.g. cefixime).

2. Infantile vulvovaginitis: the disease is related to poor cleaning, diaper changing, pathogen infection and other factors, the vulva and vaginal opening will be congested and edema. Usually pay attention to vulvar cleanliness; bacterial infection can be treated with clindamycin, etc., trichomonas infection can be treated with metronidazole, mycoplasma infection can be treated with erythromycin, and fungal infection can be treated with mithramycin.
2. Urethritis: the disease is related to pathogenic microbial infection, the urethral opening and the surrounding skin may be congested, red and swollen. Normally, you should drink more water to increase the volume of urine, which is conducive to flushing the urethra; gonorrheal urethritis can be treated with cefixime; according to the different pathogenic bacteria, azithromycin, erythromycin and other medicines can also be chosen.
