Rate of development of stomach cancer

The development speed of gastric cancer is generally closely related to the pathological type of gastric cancer and the treatment method adopted by patients. If gastric cancer is detected late and left to develop, the development speed is relatively fast. Sometimes, it takes only half a year for an early gastric cancer to develop into middle or late stage, and then it may reach the possibility of systemic metastasis or recurrence. For some gastric cancer patients, if they are detected at an early stage and treated with surgery in time, or apply comprehensive radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy after surgery, the speed of development will be relatively slower, and some early gastric cancers may be completely eradicated and reach the standard of cure. In addition, the development speed of gastric cancer is also closely related to the physical quality, age and underlying diseases of patients. Young patients may develop relatively fast, but for the elderly, gastric cancer may develop relatively fast due to more underlying diseases, which may sometimes be complicated with multiple diseases.
