The risk of patellar dislocation surgery is generally low, depending on the type of patellar dislocation. For example, recurrent patellar dislocation and initial patellar dislocation, combined with osteochondral fracture, nowadays, recurrent patellar dislocation and initial patellar dislocation are arthroscopically accomplished to reset the patella, the surgical effect is very good, basically no surgical risk. For fixed patellar dislocation, habitual patellar dislocation, congenital patellar dislocation, for example, 30° or 60° patellar dislocation is a more serious type, and often have to be incised. However, in these patients the patella is not in the normal carriage, and once the patella is put into the carriage, there may be poor healing of the incision or even necrosis of the skin flap, and of course there is a risk of infection, but otherwise the risk is not high.
