What to do about stage II membranous nephropathy

Stage II membranous nephropathy should pay attention to rest, ensure adequate nutrition, apply diuretics diuretic swelling treatment, serious condition can be applied to glucocorticoids and cyclophosphamide and other immunosuppressant treatment. 1. General treatment: pay attention to rest, avoid going to public places and prevent infection; adequate calorie intake, but do not advocate the intake of high-protein diet; low-salt diet should be used in edema, and consume diets rich in unsaturated fatty acids (e.g. vegetable oils, fish oils) and soluble fibers (e.g. oatmeal, rice bran and legumes). 2. Diuresis: Stage II membranous nephropathy patients should not be diuretic too quickly and violently, so as not to induce thrombosis, embolism and other complications. Commonly used diuretics are hydrochlorothiazide, long-term use should prevent hypokalemia and hyponatremia. 3. Glucocorticoid drugs: patients with stage II membranous nephropathy often choose prednisone or hydrocortisone treatment. Glucocorticoid drugs can inhibit the immune inflammatory response, affect the glomerular basement membrane permeability and other combined effects to play its diuretic, eliminating the therapeutic effect of urinary protein. Long-term application can appear infection, drug diabetes, osteoporosis, femoral head necrosis and other side effects. 4. Immunosuppressive drugs: such as cyclophosphamide, which is metabolized by the liver in the body, and its metabolites have strong immunosuppressive effects. The main side effects are bone marrow suppression and liver damage, and gonadal suppression, alopecia, gastrointestinal tract and hemorrhagic cystitis can occur. Patients with stage II membranous nephropathy should go to the hospital in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, and avoid self-medication to avoid adverse drug reactions.
