Diarrhea can be caused by food poisoning, intestinal infections, systemic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal tumors and so on.
1. Food poisoning: such as consuming undercooked beans, sprouted potatoes, mushrooms, etc. The toxins contained in the food enter into the intestinal tract and are absorbed into the bloodstream, which stimulate the intestinal wall and cause symptoms of food poisoning, which can be manifested by diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and fever.
2. Intestinal infections: such as cholera, viral enteritis, bacillary dysentery, amoebic dysentery, etc. Bacterial or viral stimulation of the intestinal wall causes a large amount of intestinal fluid secretion, causing vomiting, diarrhea and other clinical symptoms.
3. Systemic diseases: such as anaphylactic purpura, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, uremia and so on. In addition to systemic manifestations such as fever, there are gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.
4. Inflammatory bowel disease: such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and so on.
5. Intestinal tumors: such as colon cancer, rectal cancer and so on.
There are many other causes of diarrhea, such as lactose intolerance. It is recommended to consult a doctor in time, after a clear diagnosis for targeted treatment.
