Adenoid hypertrophy is most often seen in children and occasionally in adults. The specific examination cost needs to be combined with the examination method, hospital level and local price standard. In general, the following tests are available in tertiary hospitals: First, lateral nasopharyngeal film, which costs about 180 yuan. Second, CT of the nasopharynx, which costs about 390 yuan, but requires the child to be able to lie still and cooperate. The third is an electronic nasopharyngoscope, which costs about $280. Most children over the age of three are able to cooperate without anesthesia, and it is clear and intuitive enough to accurately determine the degree of adenoid hypertrophy and facilitate postoperative review and comparison. It is currently the preferred method of examination, except for a very small number of children who are unable to cooperate.
